Non-Surgical Fat Removal – Heating VS. Cooling
To melt or to freeze? With the rising advancement in medical cosmetics and the broadening range of treatment types available, it can be hard to decipher which treatment is best suited for you. Luckily for you, we are here to help. One huge area of concern that has been presented to us time and time again is stubborn fat.
Stubborn fat appears most frequently in our abdomen, love handles, and lower body and can be quite a challenge to shed. With generations of traditional invasive surgeries (ex. liposuction surgery), people have often felt discouraged to act upon their problem areas as they did not want to go under the knife. Luckily with the advancement in technology, we can now provide an abundant list of non-invasive, non-surgical alternatives.
Today we want to support you in making a well-educated, fully versed, and unbiased decision on whether or not non-surgical fat removal is for you, and if it is, if freezing or melting is your best choice.
Freezing
The world’s most popular non-invasive fat reduction treatment known as CoolSculpting is one of the best options when looking to freeze away stubborn fat. CoolSculpting is a method that freezes away fat via an applicator that is put on the surface of the skin. By doing this the fat cells crystalize, and a portion of those fat cells die. Your body eventually rids itself of the dead cells and that is when a firmer and more toned body begins to reveal itself. This procedure can take upwards of 2 treatments and can cut 25% of excess fat in treated areas. If you are looking to treat multiple different sections of your body, you will have to book additional appointments as CoolSculpting technology can only focus on one general area at a time.
CoolSculpting is top of the list for clients looking for non-invasive body contouring. We always use our expertise to reassure and educate our patients on our treatment protocol, plans, and results. We want to work with you one-on-one to ensure you are achieving the goals you have envisioned. Melting
A non-invasive alternative to CoolSculpting is a heat-based technology known as SculpSure. SculpSure utilizes a laser to cause fat cells to die off using a heat-based technique. The body then uses its lymphatic system to expel these dead cells. These treatments take roughly 30 minutes per zone, and you can do multiple zones in one session. This ‘hands-free’ device is fast and efficient and has integrated cooling to ensure treatment is comfortable and safe throughout the session. Sculp has no significant recovery period post-treatment.
Here at Martin’s Rejuvenation Centre, we have dedicated our training and efforts to focus solely on CoolSculpting for the moment and are not currently offering SculpSure to our clients. If CoolSculpting isn’t your top choice and you are looking for alternative treatments for body contouring, we suggest booking a consultation with us. By booking a consultation our esteemed group of doctors and nurses can recommend an alternative that can help you achieve similar results as CoolSculpting.
To give you a better understanding of these two main treatments, here is a side-by-side comparison:
